Children and Youth

To review and facilitate the appropriate resources, risk and protective factors, and support that enables our youth to become successful and valued contributors to society.

Safety and Security

To review and advocate on environmental issues that protect and secure our community so that the citizens feel safe, comfortable and their quality of life is within acceptable social norms and standards.

Housing

Work with Council and Developers to ensure that there are an adequate supply and range of housing options and an appropriate mix of residential zoning to meet the needs of existing and future residents.

Employment

Encourage the development of a strong, diversified and sustainable economy that will provide expanded opportunities for employment, support community growth, and foster community pride.

Poverty

Work with existing agencies and services in the community to support and assist all citizens and families with meeting basic needs, such as food, shelter and social assistance.

Environment and Health

Support community initiatives that improve and enhance the local physical environment and advocate on behalf of health and “quality of life” issues.

Cultural Diversity

Encourage and celebrate the community’s cultural diversity and heritage, and support initiatives and events that foster understanding, appreciation, respect and unity.
